Commissioning Custom Jewelry:
Custom designed jewelry offers the buyer the ultimate choice in owning a unique piece that no other person in the world will have but you.

Pricing for a custom piece is determined by the complexity of the piece, the size, the materials involved and the amount of time required in its creation. Because of these many variables there is a great range in possible pricing.

Allow at least a 3-month time period between the start and finish of the project. Depending on the complexity of the piece and the artist’s waiting list, a custom job may be completed well before this time or the job may extend beyond this period. The commissioning customer will be made aware of all time factors before the project is begun.

Sometimes, potential customers seeking a custom design will ask an artist to work from photos of another artist’s work. As a reminder, true custom work means that the commissioned artist creates something that is original, unique and not a copy of other designers’ jewelry. Additionally, it is somewhat disrespectful to approach a skilled artisan simply to request that they copy another person’s work. There is nothing wrong with being inspired by a piece you’ve seen created by another designer, but please be courteous and do not ask the artist to copy another jewelry artist’s work.

Available Metals:
The artist works in the following metals: 18k gold (yellow and rose), sterling silver, ®argentium sterling silver and copper. 14k gold can be substituted for 18k gold upon request, but depending upon whether the piece is cast or fabricated, more labor may be required to finish it due to the increased hardness of this alloy.
